Running Accomplishments:

Completed a half marathon (mostly walking).

Short-Term Running Goals:

Jog a 5k in under 37 minutes. Lose a few extra pounds along the way. Make it to the top of Mount Timpanogas and hopefully back next year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay within 10 lbs of my husbands disgustingly low weight.

Personal:

I am a mother of four kids ranging in age from 15 to 3. Thus the extra weight that I need to lose. I am a military spouse who has thus lived all over the place. We have been married for 18 years.

I'm a Wogger. Meaning I walk/jog. I would not call it running and I only joined the FastRunningBlog because my husband ArmyRunner made me and Sarah threatened to try and convince me also.

averaged about 14 min. miles brtween provo trail near reams and the mouth of the canyon.  Pretty flat terrain so I hope I didn't kill my back.  My shins were feeling better this morning so I decided to put them right back in the shape they were yesterday.  I must enjoy limping around the house.  Oh well as my husband says if your legs don't hurt you're not pushing very hard.  I just hope this will aventually be worth it.  I have stalled out on weight loss for the past 3 weeks.  I suppose that is what is behind my insane pushing it hard.

Congratulations on your race! Don't worry about future races. If they are slower, they're slower. Just try to enjoy them. And it sounds like you mostly enjoyed your first race. Amazing race! Congratulations again.

Have you tried to ice your shins?

I can't believe you did 8 today! Wow. Running's fun, isn't it?

Your race sounded great!! Congratulations!! I'm glad I'm not the only one limping around this week. The only difference is, you're back out there running, and I had to have my husband fetch things for me because my hip felt so bad. You're awesome!!! By the way, you didn't even mention in your race report that you reached your short term goal by a landslide (7 minutes)!!! Woohoo!!

I think Sarah and Sasha are right - you're not a "wogger" anymore. You're doing great!
